Hunter's Pride Barbecue Sauce

Daniel Hunter created the recipe for his famous sauce by adding different ingredients until he was satisfied.  "I created a sauce on a taste-test basis," said Hunter.  "I added and tasted and I added more and tasted again, and I got it to where I wanted it and stopped adding."  No preservatives have been added.  All you taste is the natural ingredients of Daniel's original recipe.

The first bottles of "Hunter's Pride" were sold to Ratchford's Meat Market, and Hunter said they've been selling by word of mouth ever since.  "We don't do any advertising at all," he said.  "We sell sauce because people tell other people about it.

Now made by Daniel's son Anthony and grandson Daniel, "Hunter's Pride" is sold all over Southeast Georgia and is also used by the Effingham County School System.  The sauce can be found at Krogers and Piggly Wiggly grocery stores in the Coastal Empire.  It can also be found in Statesboro, Vidalia, and Dublin.  The family ships special orders, once sending the sauce to Australia and to Iraq.
